Service Operations Policy
Effective date: September 7, 2026
This Operations Policy sets out the detailed standards that apply under the Hemogry Terms of Service, and takes effect together with the Terms. Where the Terms and this Policy deal with the same matter differently, the Terms prevail, and this Policy applies to the extent that it does not conflict with them.
Earlier versions of this Policy are kept by the Company.
The Korean text and the English text of this Policy are each an authentic text, and the Korean text applies to users who have their habitual residence in the Republic of Korea while the English text applies to all other users.
Hemogry exists to make it easier to actually cook the dishes you come across on social media. Hemogry therefore works with content that carries cooking information, and does not turn content outside that purpose into recipes.
Hemogry analyzes and classifies the content you submit and delivers the result. A result may be a generated recipe, an analysis result telling you the content is not suitable for recipe generation, or another outcome of the same processing.
1. How Recipe Generation Works
1) What Hemogry works with
- Hemogry attempts to generate a recipe only from links, videos, images, text, and other content the Company has identified as supported inside the Service.
- What is supported, and the forms it can take, are added to and adjusted as the Service develops. The current scope is shown inside the Service.
2) Content that is not turned into a recipe
The following content is not turned into a recipe. For content of this kind the Company may deliver the analysis result, save the link, or do both.
- Content that has not been identified as supported inside the Service
- Content that does not carry enough cooking information to analyze
3) Content analyzed as unsuitable for recipe generation
Where the content you submit is analyzed as unsuitable for recipe generation, the Company may deliver that analysis result, save the link, or do both.
An analysis result of this kind is itself the outcome of analyzing and classifying your content. Where a clear and viewable analysis or classification result for a request has been delivered to you, the Salt used for that request will, as a general rule, not be restored.
Where you do not receive a clear and viewable analysis or classification result for reasons on the Company's side, the Salt used for that request is either not charged or restored, and how that is done follows the guidance shown inside the Service.

4) What Hemogry treats as material for a recipe
Hemogry treats content as material for recipe generation when:
- It was made to show or explain how a dish is cooked
- Ingredients, preparation, cooking steps, and the finished dish can be followed in it
- Captions, narration, on-screen notes, or written text carry at least some of the information (helpful for accuracy, but not required)
5) Hemogry is not a content distribution service
Hemogry does not sell content from external platforms, and does not let users download video files. Hemogry analyzes the cooking information a piece of content carries and organizes it into something practical to cook from. Original content may be displayed inside the Service or linked back to where it came from.
2. Content Hemogry Supports
Hemogry supports recipe generation for content that meets both of the following.
1) The content clearly sets out to teach or demonstrate cooking
- Content made to present a recipe
- Content made to teach how a dish is cooked
2) The cooking process can be followed
- Ingredients going in, tools being used, heat being adjusted, timings being shown, and similar cues
3. Content That May Be Limited or Produce Poor Results
The following types of content are not recommended for recipe generation. Results may be very thin or close to empty, and as a general rule the Salt used will not be restored.
1) Content that does not convey cooking information
The list below is illustrative. It covers any content that is not meant to convey cooking information.
- News, current affairs, talk shows, variety shows, interviews
- Vlogs, travel records, everyday life footage
- Eating content with no cooking
- Advertising, unboxing, and promotional content
- Facility, production line, and corporate introduction material
- Documentary or event footage where cooking appears incidentally rather than being explained
- Someone else cooking, captured briefly and from a distance
Content like this sits far outside what Hemogry is for, and the result is often thin or meaningless. Where the Service delivers an analysis result saying the content does not convey cooking information, that result is the outcome of analysis, so Salt is still deducted and, as a general rule, will not be restored. We therefore recommend not attempting generation on it.
2) Content with limited cooking information or poor quality
Results may be inaccurate or partial when:
- Ingredients or hand movements are hard to make out
- Steps are frequently skipped, or scenes change very rapidly
- Scenes move quickly with no narration or captions
- The description is very brief, or the cooking steps are not set out
- Low light or blur hides the ingredients and the process
- Several unrelated dishes are covered in one piece of content
Hemogry still generates what it can in these cases, but the completeness of the result is not guaranteed.
If you have comments or want to suggest an improvement, you can send them through the feedback option the Service provides. We review feedback internally and use it to improve quality. As a general rule, Salt will not be restored in these cases.
3) Animated and fictional cooking content
Animation, cartoons, and game footage often contain no real cooking information, or only fragments of it. This content is outside the scope of recipe generation, and any result may be sparse or inaccurate. As a general rule, Salt will not be restored in these cases.
4) Content that is not allowed
The following is not allowed on Hemogry and may lead to restrictions on your use of the Service, whether or not recipe generation was attempted.
- Content that encourages unlawful or harmful acts, or invites imitation of them
- Content that clearly infringes the rights of others
- Content likely to cause real harm to the Service or to other users
- Anything else that falls under the prohibited conduct set out in the Terms of Service
Where generation is attempted on such content, the Company treats it as a serious breach of the purpose of the Service and of the Terms, even if Salt was consumed in the attempt, and may restrict recipe generation or restrict the account.
4. What a Hemogry Recipe Is, and Food Safety
1) A Hemogry recipe is supporting information, put together from a piece of content by automated analysis. It may differ from the original content or leave parts out, and the Company does not warrant that a result is complete or accurate.
2) Please check food safety matters yourself before you cook, including the ingredients and quantities, cooking temperatures and times, anything that could trigger an allergy, and the condition and storage of ingredients.
3) If a health condition, an allergy, or medication means you need to be careful about particular foods, please follow professional advice.
5. Salt
1) What Salt pays for, and when it is deducted
- Salt pays for the processing that analyzes and classifies the content you submit and delivers the result. A result may be a generated recipe, an analysis result telling you the content is not suitable for recipe generation, or another outcome of the same processing.
- Salt may be used for analyzing and classifying content, for generating a recipe, for delivering an existing valid analysis result, and for comparable processing.
- Salt is deducted when the processing you requested starts.
- The detailed basis on which Salt is used follows the guidance shown inside the Service.
2) Identical and substantially identical content
- The Company may deliver an existing result for content that is identical or substantially identical to content already processed, and may limit reprocessing.
- Where the same user saves the same content again, no further Salt is deducted. Salt may still be used where you expressly ask for reanalysis or a new generation, where the content has changed, or in the other cases set out in the guidance shown inside the Service.
- Where a different user is given an existing valid analysis result, Salt may be deducted on the basis shown inside the Service.
3) When Salt is not charged, or is restored
- Where, for reasons on the Company's side, you do not receive a clear and viewable analysis or classification result for a request, the Salt used for that request is either not charged or restored. This applies whatever the cause: the processing never started, it stopped partway, all that remains is a result carrying none of the analysis or classification, or a result was produced but never reached you. The Company acts where it has established that this happened, and that includes cases where it was established because you told the Company. How to tell the Company follows the guidance shown inside the Service.
- The Company will act on this by not charging, by restoring the Salt afterwards, by offering a retry, or by another suitable means. How and when that is done follows the guidance shown inside the Service.
4) When Salt is not restored
Where a clear and viewable analysis or classification result for a request has been delivered to you, the Salt used for that request will, as a general rule, not be restored. By an analysis or classification result we mean one that actually carries what the analysis or classification found; a result carrying none of it does not count. For example:
- You were given an analysis result saying the content you submitted does not convey cooking information
- You were given an analysis result saying the content you submitted is not suitable for recipe generation
- The content, structure, or completeness of the recipe is not what you expected
- Generation was attempted on content that carries little cooking information
- One piece of content covered several dishes and only part of it was extracted
- Information was missing because of the quality or structure of the content
- The portions, wording, or style are not to your taste
5) Restoration at the Company's discretion
The Company may restore all or part of the Salt used, or offer a replacement opportunity to use the Service, even where it is under no obligation to do so, for reasons such as handling an incident, protecting users, or operational need. Doing so does not create an obligation to provide the same remedy in other cases.
6) Obtaining Salt, and refunds
How Salt is obtained, how long it lasts and when it expires, withdrawal of a purchase, and refunds of money are governed by the Terms of Service and by the conditions shown at the time of purchase. Restoration of Salt under this Policy means giving back the Salt that was used, and is separate from a refund of money.
6. What You Post or Send
1) You are responsible for what you post or send through the Service. Do not post or send anything that infringes the rights of others or that breaches the law or the Terms of Service.
2) The Company may restrict visibility, remove content, or restrict access to a feature where content:
- Breaches the law or the Terms of Service
- Infringes the rights of others or damages someone's reputation
- Is abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or hateful
- Is advertising, promotion, or repetitive posting that does not fit the purpose of the Service
- Is false or misleading and was created to deceive other users or to disrupt the operation of the Service
- Interferes with the normal use of the Service by others
3) The Company decides which measure to apply, and how far to apply it, taking into account what was done, how serious it was, whether it was repeated, and the effect on the Service.
4) Where the Company applies a measure, it may explain the reason for it and may set out how you can submit your views on it.
7. Misuse and Restrictions
Where the following occurs repeatedly or in bad faith, the Company may restrict recipe generation, restrict the use of Salt, or suspend the account.
1) Repeatedly attempting generation well outside the purpose of the Service
- Persistently attempting generation on content that does not convey cooking information, on harmful content, or as a prank or test
- Continuing to attempt generation on content that the Terms and this Policy identify as restricted
2) Misuse of the system or abnormal usage
- Sending requests in bulk using automated tools or scripts
- Repeatedly requesting processing of identical or substantially identical content in a way that consumes the resources of the Service
- Creating multiple accounts to test repeatedly or to obtain an unfair benefit
- Circumventing or altering the normal operation of the Service
3) Interfering with the stability of the Service or with other users
4) Anything else that falls under the prohibited conduct set out in the Terms of Service
The Company decides which measure to apply, and how far to apply it, taking into account what was done, how serious it was, whether it was repeated, and the effect on the Service. Where the Company applies a measure, it may explain the reason for it and may set out how you can submit your views on it.
8. Events and Promotions
The Company may run events and promotions. Who can take part, how to take part, and how rewards are granted, refused, or reclaimed are set out in the separate notice published for each event.
9. Notices and Marketing Messages
1) The Company may send notices needed to provide and operate the Service, by means such as in-service announcements and notifications.
2) Advertising and promotional messages are sent only where consent has been obtained, as required by applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
1) The Company may amend or supplement this Policy, for reasons including improvements to the Service and changes in law or in external platform policies.
2) Where a change is unfavorable to users or otherwise significant, the Company will make it known inside the Service, or by another appropriate means, before it takes effect.
3) A change that is not unfavorable to users, such as widening the range of supported content, may take effect without advance notice. The current position is shown inside the Service.
4) Where a change requires separate consent under applicable law, the Company will obtain that consent. For other changes, the revised Policy applies to your continued use of the Service on or after the effective date. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account or stop using the paid features.
5) This Policy applies from the effective date shown above. Matters arising before that date are assessed under the policy that applied at the time and under applicable law.
