Hemogry is an AI-powered recipe generation tool designed to help anyone cook more easily and naturally by converting social-media cooking videos into clear, structured recipes.
In this update, we removed elements that disrupted the user experience and redesigned how Salt (our in-app AI usage unit) is used โ so you always know when and why Salt is consumed.
๐ 1. Why is the Salt charging model changing?
From the beginning, Hemogry was designed so users could freely convert different videos and build their own personal recipe library without pressure.
That's why, in earlier versions:
โข
You could generate as many recipes as you wanted
โข
Salt was only used when opening a recipe for actual cooking โ The charging point was set at the "viewing stage."
However, this led to an unintended misunderstanding:
Some users felt as if Hemogry was "selling recipes."
But Hemogry does not sell recipes โ we charge only for the AI processing required to analyze a video and generate a recipe.
To remove confusion and make the flow more intuitive, we re-defined the pricing logic as follows.
๐ 2. Salt is now used only at the moment AI generates a recipe
โข
Once a recipe is generated, it is free to view forever
โข
Browsing, searching, saving, and revisiting recipes never use Salt
โข
Generated recipes can be freely shared and viewed by anyone
โข
Salt is charged only during AI analysis โ nowhere else
๐ 3. All recipe blur (preview lock) has been completely removed
From now on, every recipe you generate is instantly viewable in full:
โข
Step-by-step instructions
โข
Timestamps
โข
Ingredient breakdown
โข
Nutrition information
All of these are available without restrictions from the moment the recipe is generated.
๐ 4. Salt pricing is now more accurate โ based on 5-minute increments
AI processing cost increases with video length,
so Salt consumption now follows a clear and consistent rule:
Video Length
Salt
0โ5 min
1
5โ10 min
2
10โ15 min
3
15โ20 min
4
20โ25 min
5
25โ30 min
6
30โ35 min
7
35โ40 min
8
40โ45 min
9
45โ50 min
10
50โ55 min
11
55โ60 min
12
โป Videos longer than 60 minutes cannot generate recipes and will be saved as links only.
๐ 5. The "0โ30 sec free generation" launch event has ended
The temporary free-generation benefit available at launch is now concluded.
Going forward, all videos follow the pricing table above.
๐ 6. What improves for users with this update?
โข
Generated recipes are always free to view โ permanently
โข
No more blur โ clearer, simpler user flow
โข
Easy to understand when/why Salt is used
โข
Browsing, searching, and exploring recipes never cost Salt
โข
Users can freely share or view each other's generated recipes
๐ Bonus for existing Hemogry users
To thank everyone who has used Hemogry so far, we are granting an extra 50 Salt to all existing users.
Also:
Any recipes you previously generated but had not opened (and therefore were blurred) are now fully accessible for free after this update.
โ FAQ โ Answers to the questions you're most likely to have
Q1. If I accidentally share a video that Iโve already generated a recipe for, will Salt be used again?
No.
If a recipe for that video already exists in your account, Hemogry automatically detects it and loads the existing recipe instead of generating a new one.
So even if you share the same video again by mistake, no additional Salt will be consumed.
Q2. What happens if recipe generation fails?
If the recipe does not finish generating, Hemogry gives you:
โ One free re-generation attempt
You can retry once without spending any additional Salt.
โ If the second attempt also fails
Salt used for that attempt is automatically restored, and the video will be saved as a link only, without a recipe.
โ If you cancel the process manually (pressing "X") before it completes
Salt is also restored, and the video is saved as a link only.
Hemogry is built to make the process โ video โ recipe โ real cooking as natural and convenient as possible.
We will continue improving Hemogry so your cooking experience becomes smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable.
